Langtide ([[Nortongue]] \ˈlæŋɡtaɪd\) is named for its elongated shape. Lore about Langtide is thorough and accurate. It is highly civilized, well mapped, and studied by scholars and historians.

=History=

Langtide is one of only two islands in Mercatia to never have been renamed. For much of the [[Shattered Age]], Langtide was the most populous and wealthiest of islands in Mercatia, home to three pirate companies, each allied for decades through family ties. It wasn't until the rise of [[Suentius]] in the late Shattered Age that [[Goldreach]] outpaced Langtide in population, wealth, and power.
