Overview
The Foundation (Commontongue) is so named as it marked the arrival of the Founders, who would forever change the course of the universe.
Lore about the Foundation is extremely rare and incomplete. The only survivors of that time are the primals of the Lost Age, and those reports are biased and lacking in facts.
Timeline
The arrival of Bastion marked year 0 in the First Calendar.
Causes
The direct cause of the Foundation was the appearance of Bastion in the universe. Why this fortress of the Founders appeared has never been known. Were the Founders explorers? Conquerors? Colonizers? Their motives have remained a mystery of the ages.
Major Events
As a milestone, the Foundation was marked by its sole event, the appearance of Bastion in the universe, marking the beginning of the First Age. Everything before this is considered the Lost Age of the universe.
Campaign Events
Shortly after Foundation, the immortal Icarion was engaged in a conflict with the immortal Caravandamar. Much of this conflict manifest in a contest between Starling Grove and Inexorable Stone.
Consequences
In some sense, the entire history of the universe after the Lost Age is a consequence of the Foundation. The arrival of the Founders marked the beginning of a total change for the destiny of the universe. The Integrum, the great cataclysms, and even the origins of Strange and Void draw a straight causal line to the arrival of the Founders.
