Overview
Astral prisons (Commontongue) are named for the fact that they are prisons for the powers of fury, conquered in the Foundation War, as well as the fact that they appear as stars in the skies of the Integrum.
Lore about astral prisons is not common, but is fairly well understood. Servitors of form maintain the astral prisons, and they have been studied by arcanists and heralds of form.
History
Astral prisons were created by the founders in the First Age to contain the powers of fury. Some stars were damaged or destroyed in The Shattering and The Fall, unleashing fury dangers into the integrum. The rest remain part of the astral sky in the current day.
Cosmology
Astral prisons function as both containment of enemies of the integrum and as sources of energy for the integrum.
