The Obsidian Titan's avatar was a behemoth of awesome scale, resembling a wingless dragon with six legs. It's eyes were a deep and molten gold that glowed with an inner fire and swirled like liquid metal. It's body was scales were facets of dark quartz, revealing clouds of smoke roiling beneath. It's breath was like that of the volcanic storms of its realm: filled with flecks of metal, smoke, ash, searing gas, and molten spittle. It's voice was deep like the movement of tectonic plates, resonating with the roar of a fire. It had a long tail with spines like jagged volcanic rock. It's six legs ended with claws of obsidian, matching its black and shining teeth.

In its bound form, Everburning Obsidian appears as nearly three dozen chunks of shiny black metal and glass. It's immense power enables the titan to change the size and shape of its bound form, often using it to entice creatures to use or wield it's imprisoned form. Such wielders of the Obsidian Titan's pieces are granted immense power, but risk succumbing to its indomitable will.

Overview

Everburning Obsidian (Enchiridian, Furytongue: Kavashatum \kʌˈʋɑʃʊtuːm\, meaning ruling flames), also known as the Obsidian Titan, is the most powerful known titan in the universe. It's name comes from some of its dominant qualities, fire and glass.

Lore about the Obsidian Titan is rare and incomplete. The only direct knowledge of it belongs to other titans, all of whom would consider it an enemy. Some dragons and immortals know of it mostly by legend and reputation.

History

The Lost Age

During the Lost Age, Everburning Obisidian was a monster among the titans, having absorbed the power of many others through dominion.

The First Age

Everburning Obsidian was the first of the titans to fall to the Founders during the Foundation War. Its defeat not only diminished the combined might of the titans considerably, but also created a power vacuum that heightened their in-fighting for the Contest Eternal.

Like most other Titans, Everburning Obsidian was captured by the Founders and imprisoned in the Astral Stars.

Description

Everburning Obsidian had a massive and varied form. It's terrain was jagged hills of sharp stone, flame erupting from fissures and volcanic peaks. Fierce winds carried sulfur and flecks of iron in terrible storms. Rivers of quicksilver poured from springs, with riverbeds of sharp, black glass. Forests of charred and ashen trees dropped fruits as coal. Boiling swamps, glowed with magma deep beneath the mud.

Personality

The Obsidian Titan's personality is said to be regal, brutal, proud, and cunning. Pride is no rare trait among the titans, but few earn their pride more than the most powerful titan to ever exist. Everburning Obsidian has retained its identity through countless dominions of other titans, which has given it a godlike sense of indomitability. However, it is not reckless. It is famous for its cunning and patience, evoking the long periods of wait before a volcano erupts. But when it does erupt, the wrath of the Obsidian Titan is unlike anything the universe has seen.
