At the end of the [[Gilded Age]] Aeon was destroyed. It is believed that the celestial dragon, [[Astarael]] laid a trap for Aeon using [[The Anomaly]]. When Aeon encountered The Anomaly, something about it drove the founder mad. The devastation was so severe that it led to [[The Shattering], ending the idyllic Gilded Age.

The rest of the founders had to unleash a special servitor called [[The Oathbound]], specifically capable of destroying a founder, to stop Aeon before its destruction. Aeon's body crashed through the [[Great Barrier]] where it lay at the bottom of the [[Abyss]] for the entire [[Shattered Age]] and [[Dark Age]].

However, even its destroyed body was far from harmless. From it sprang the powers of the [[Void]]. Aeon's nightmares took shape in the [[demons]] and [[archdemons]], creatures bent on infiltrating the universe and ending it forever.

At the end of the [[Dark Age]], the archdemon [[Lascivia]] was able to successfully resurrect Aeon through a powerful ritual of [[shadow magic]]. Thankfully the heroes of [[Unnecessary Evil]] were able to repair the Abyss, restoring the Great Barrier and sealing Aeon in the Void, safely outside of the Integrum.

There the mad founder Aeon waits for a way to destroy his creation.

Aeon has many forms, as much of his body is concealed in the [[ethereal realm]] that is [[The Apparatus]]. In his naked form, which he holds in the Void, disconnected from The Apparatus, he appears as an unimaginably massive clockwork man, with skin of [[truecrystal]] and clockwork gears of silver and gold [[truemetal]].
Like most Founders, Iuon never fully emerged from the [[Ether]] to reveal its full true form. Instead, it appeared as a clockwork head made of [[truemetal]] and truecrystal, dripping with liquid arcane energy.

Aeon is consumed by madness. How much of his madness is still the result of his encounter with The Anomaly and how much of his madness is the result of his centuries in the Void or his nightmare resurrection are not known. But in any event he is a godlike intelligence that is bent upon the destruction of the entire universe.
Like most Founders, Iuon was pragmatic and unemotional, having little personality outside of a blind devotion to its purpose.

Overview

Iuon (Enchiridian) is named for being the Founder of Form.

Lore about Iuon is rare. It was destroyed during The Fall, and so was only experienced by Shattered Age Gods and Servitors.

History

Iuon arrived with the rest of the founders at the beginning of the First Age. It participated in the Foundation War and built the Grand Design of Destiny during Integration. At the end of the Shattered Age, Iuon was destroyed along with the other Founders.

Cosmology

Little is known about Founders relationship to cosmology except that they are alien to the universe, arriving from outside and usurping the Contest Eternal for their own aims in the Integrum. Like all Founders, Iuon was individually among the most powerful creatures in the universe.

Though destroyed, the remains of Iuon persist in an unusual fashion through objects called Iuon stones. These bits of Truecrystal contain unusual properties to modulate Integral Form.

Description

Like most Founders, Iuon never fully emerged from the Ether to reveal its full true form. Instead, it appeared as a clockwork head made of truemetal and truecrystal, dripping with liquid arcane energy.

Personality

Like most Founders, Iuon was pragmatic and unemotional, having little personality outside of a blind devotion to its purpose.
