The Soft Court was one of the Shattered Courts of Arcadia, formed in the late Shattered Age, c. NIR 820. It was founded by the Fey God, Her Imminence. It was dissolved during The War of Erasure, c. NIR 1250.
The Court was an exploration of the Strange Essence of Relation. She founded the Court on a philosophy of proximity. She believed that meaning was found by approaching it without ever reaching it. The Court was populated by the The Displaced.
The Court was dissolved during The War of Erasure, when The King Who Never Was waged the war of Denial on Her Imminence. She would be the second Fey God stripped of Strange Power. Her philosophical vacancy was later filled by The Half Court and The Greater Court. The Nigh Court has been defunct for centuries in the modern age.
