Some spells have special functions in the setting. They are defined in the table below.

| Detect Magic | When cast, you can differentiate the Origin of magic (Strange, Fury, Integral, Void).
When cast by a Herald, you can sense certain qualities of your domain. For example, a Herald of Form can sense the health of the local Telar, and sense a trail you can attempt to follow (with skill checks). Another example, a Herald of Summer or Winter could sense changes in season before they happen. When cast by a Fury Sorcerer, you can sense what Titan a source of Fury magic is associated with. When cast by a Strange Orison, you can distinguish between Bright, Bleak, Lost, and Eldritch magic. |
| Speak with Animals | When cast by a Herald of Form, animals you speak with will automatically share with you the location of the nearest Telar, if they know. You don't have to persuade them. |
