The Court of Intrigue was one of the Shattered Courts of Arcadia, formed in the late Shattered Age. It was founded by the Fey God, The Veiled Queen, c. NIR 710. It was made defunct after an internal schism shortly after The War of Erasure, c. NIR 1370.

The Court was an exploration of the Strange Essence of Passion. She founded the Court on a philosophy of experiential intensity. She believed that meaning came from the degree of experience, not the context or content of the experience. The Court was populated by the Moodlings. The Court had intense in-fighting since its inception.

The Court was made defunct after The War of Erasure created the Bright and Bleak inflections of philosophical exploration, The Court of Intrigue immediately tore itself in two. This stripped The Veiled Queen of her power and replaced The Court of Intrigue with The Laughing Court and The Weeping Court, each with different philosophies, Fey species, and Fey Gods. The Court has been defunct for centuries in the modern age.
