Maelstrom Deep (Enchiridian, Furytongue: Barugal, meaning lightning tide), also known as the Ocean Storm Titan, is a mighty Template:Category Titan in the universe. It's name comes from some of its dominant qualities, storm and the ocean.
Lore
Lore about the Ocean Storm Titan is rare and incomplete, coming primarily from other Titans, some Template:Category Dragons, and fewer Template:Category Immortals.
History
The Lost Age
Little is known about Maelstrom Deep during the Template:Category Lost Age, save that it existed and prospered in the Contest Eternal.
The First Age
Maelstrom Deep was defeated in the Foundation War in 1578 FC by other Titans who, being manipulated by the Founders, set out to Fragment the Ocean Storm Titan. However their victory was interrupted by the Founders and Malestrom Deep was imprisoned. A fragment of its realm body, the Shattered Shores, would be the battleground for one of the most important strategic milestones of the Foundation War.
After its defeat, it was contained within the Astral Prisons where it has remained ever since.
Description
Its realm form is that of a deep blue-grey ocean and the turbulent skies above. In its oceanic depths are abyssal trenches and vast underwater mountain ranges teeming with bioluminescent life and dangerous oceanic creatures. Its surface waters are a perpetually storm-tossed waves with enormous whirlpools that could swallow islands. Above the waters the skies are a theater of raging tempests and bolts of lightning that danced from cloud to cloud to sea.
Personality
The Obsidian Titan's personality is said to be regal, brutal, proud, and cunning. Pride is no rare trait among the Titans, but few earn their pride more than the most powerful Titan to ever exist. Everburning Obsidian has retained its identity through countless Dominions of other Titans, which has given it a godlike sense of indomitability. However, it is not reckless. It is famous for its cunning and patience, evoking the long periods of wait before a volcano erupts. But when it does erupt, the wrath of the Obsidian Titan is unlike anything the universe has seen.
