This category enumerates the varieties of Fury creatures that are more powerful than realmlings but less powerful than titans.
Overview
Stormhearts (Enchiridian, Furytongue: Nirkhat, meaning hands of the domain) get their name from the powerful Fury magic that they wield and their connection to their own elemental natures. Their furytongue name comes from their purpose to titans, as instruments of their will.
Lore about stormhearts is relatively common and complete. Titans, dragons, and immortals have all provided a rare but native understanding of stormheart nature. Unlike titans, some stormhearts have been roaming free since The Shattering, which has allowed them to be studied by mortal scholars.
History
Lost Age
Like all creatures of Fury, stormhearts originate from the Lost Age. In those ancient times, stormhearts were powerful servants for the titans. They had intelligence, personalities, and individual wills, but those were entirely subordinate to that of the nearest titan who bound them. In this way, they acted as independent extensions of the will of the titans, engaging in proxy contests for the Contest Eternal, and commanding realmlings.
First Age
During the First Age, stormhearts launched the initial waves against Bastion leading armies of realmlings. They would also hunt and capture or kill servitors that were sent out from Bastion, though they never gleaned any information from the Founder constructs. During the Foundation War, stormhearts were the elite troops and the commanders of the armies of realmlings.
Eventually the powers of the titans were defeated and the stormhearts were imprisoned within the Integrum like the rest of the titans and their minions for their Fury power.
Gilded Age
There were no historical events involving the stormhearts during the Gilded Age, as they were still contained within the astral prisons.
Shattered Age
During the Shattered Age, many stormhearts and realmlings escaped from their prisons through fissures too small for the titans. These escaped stormhearts evaded the powers of the Integrum and began to corrupt pieces of the Integrum in hiding. They communicated with their titan masters, sill imprisoned, and formed the original cults of the titans.
