The Eleventh Court

The Eleventh Court is one of the seven Bright Courts of Arcadia, formed in the early Dark Age. It was founded by the Fey God, The First Queen, c. NIR 1340. It is one of the ten active Midnight Courts.

The Court is a Bright exploration of the Strange Essence of Quantity. It is founded on a philosophy of ordinality. The First Queen believes that meaning can only be found through understanding of time not as an abstract essence, but as a concrete manifestation of numerology. Her obsession is with music, a perfect embodiment of the importance of meaning from sequence. The Court is populated by Cantors.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, The Eleventh Court is indeed the eleventh Fey Court to be founded in Arcadia. This raises many questions and debates about the First Queen's epithet. Her followers assert that she is actually Arcai, the founding member of The Keening Women who originally found (and named) Arcadia, and that she was the first to discover the Strange Power of philosophical exploration of Strange Essence, making her, they assert, the first Fey God.
