The Soft Court

The Soft Court was one of the Shattered Courts of Arcadia, formed in the late Shattered Age, c. NIR 780. It was founded by the Fey God, The Merciful Queen. It was dissolved during The War of Erasure, c. NIR 1100.

The Court was an exploration of the Strange Essence of Quality. She founded the Court on a philosophy of abundance. She believed that meaning came from a satisfaction of all need. The Court was populated by the Kindly Ones.

The Court was dissolved during The War of Erasure, when The King Who Never Was waged the war of Denial on The Merciful Queen. She would be the first Fey God stripped of Strange Power. The Court has been defunct for centuries in the modern age. Their philosophical vacancy would be later filled by The Gilded Court and The Barren Court.
