This category enumerates the creatures considered to be the creator race of the integrum.

Overview

Founders (Enchiridian, Nortongue: Dróttna Nauðsynja meaning lords of necessity), are named for being the creator race of the integrum.

Lore about the founders is exceedingly rare and incomplete. Few living creatures had direct interactions with them, as they primarily operated through servitors, who retain no memory of their creators. What little is understood is pieced together from accounts by primals and the oldest gods.

History

Founders arrived in the universe at the dawn of the First Age. They orchestrated the Foundation War against the titans. After their victory, they unraveled The Apparatus and invoked the integrum, beginning the Gilded Age.

One of the founders, Aeon, was destroyed during The Shattering. The rest attempted to restore order to the integrum during the Shattered Age. The rest of the founders were destroyed during The Fall. At the end of the Dark Age, Aeon was restored by Lascivia deep in The Abyss.

Aeon reborn is the only remaining founder, exiled beyond the barrier realms.

Cosmology

Founders were, individually, the most powerful creatures in the universe, though they rarely displayed their power directly. They resided within Bastion and only emerged partially to make pronouncements to the Gods of The Integrum. They were something akin to the creators of The Integrum, though whether they created The Apparatus or are creations of it is a matter of philosophical speculation.

Society

Nothing is known of Founder society, save that there were nine members:

Aeon was the Founder of Destiny
Elarion was the Founder of Day
Iuon was the Founder of Form
Memnon was the Founder of Pattern
Nebulon was the Founder of Winter
Phylon was the Founder of Spring
Theron was the Founder of Summer
Vathon was the Founder of Autumn
Xiphon was the Founder of Night

Ecology

Nothing is known of Founder ecology. They did not seem to interact with any natural laws of the Integrum.
