* The Dro-on / Night Elves are a major part of the population of the former Acrolonian Hegemony.  The Hegemony did nothing to protect the populace from the Long Night, so lots of Dro-on.  The bent toward evil helped colonize the locals, and they began staffing the ranks, which led to increasing exposure to and assimilation with demons.  As imperial humans died or fled the Reconquest, the Dro-on hermit crabbed their way into ruling the ex-Hegemony lands of Aletheia and Calcaria.
