Overview

Strange (Commontongue) is one of the four Origins of the universe. Lore about Strange is rare and incomplete, because it is exceedingly difficult for rational minds of The Integrum to comprehend. Indeed, even the attempt can drive people mad. Information comes mainly through from Strange Gods and their Orisons.

History

The Strange Origin appears to have come into existence with The Shattering. Though the precise mechanics of its origin are unknown, it is believed that the cataclysm some how caused Strange to exist.

Though Strange nature defies conventional, logical definitions, it appears as though it has grown through the ages. New realms are being discovered, and its influences have expanded over time.

The Strange Sea: connects all of the other Strange realms
The Horizon: realm of the Obyrith
Arcadia: realm of the Fey Courts
The Shallows: ethereal realm of dream

Creatures

Creatures of the Fury origin are:

Arcadians: Elves that migrated across the Strange Sea to avoid The Long Night
Obyrith: What happened to the Fates after The Shattering
Strange Gods: Creatures with godlike powers over the Strange
Chimera: The extremely varied flora and fauna of Strange realms

Paths to Power

Orisons: Also called Fury Magic. Can only be practiced by creatures with a Fury Origin.
Dream Weavers: Describes those with tremendous power over the The Shallows.
Strange Alchemists: People with the knowledge of how to extract substances from The Shallows and manipulate them.
