Soma, Stone Dripping Blood

Overview

Soma (Elftongue \ˈsoʊmə\ for body), also known as The Stone Dripping Blood, is named for its association with flesh and shell. Like all Eldritch Gods, lore about Soma is exceptionally rare and incomplete. The lore comes primarily from scholars who have studied the Obyrith and Eldritch Orisons. It is the God of the Aboleth.

History

Soma, like all Eldritch Gods, is considered to be among the oldest Strange Gods. Soma appeared in the universe during The Shattering.

Description

Soma appears as a massive, headless crab-like creature with alternating rocky, chitinous plate and exposed muscle dripping blood.

Personality

Soma, like all Eldritch Gods, cannot be said to have a coherent personality. Its only discernable motivation seems to be an obsession with tactile sensation.

Orisons

Like all Eldritch Gods, it is not clear what draws Soma's attention to a Mortal to create an Orison. Its Orisons all develop skin aberrations, such as scales, plates, or leprosy.
