This category enumerates the variety of Strange Gods known as Lost Gods.

Lost Gods (Commontongue) get their name from their association with mythical narratives of lost souls or forgotten stories. Lore about Lost Gods is rare and incomplete. What little is known about them comes from scholars of Strange.

The six known Lost Gods came into existence over the course of the Shattered Age and Dark Age. The first known Strange God was The Occupant, or at least histories describe The Paraphernalia existing during the earliest days of the Shattered Age, before any other Lost Gods.

It is believed that where they emerged from The Apparatus became the first Strange Realm (called The Horizon), from which The Strange Sea and all other Strange Realms poured forth. There, Strange transformed the Fates into the Obyrithin, and for unknown reasons, seven of the most powerful or enlightened of the Obyrith became the Eldritch Gods.

The names of the individual Eldritch Gods are typically coined by the first Mortal cultures that encountered them.

Eldritch Gods are a specific category of Strange Gods. As creatures of Strange, they do not fit any rational definition by Integral measures. Moreover, Eldritch Gods are all associated strongly with incoherent madness, and the corruption of both mind and flesh.

Eldritch Gods, like the Obyrith, are obsessed with perception and cognition, presumedly in an effort to understand their place in a universe that no longer has a place for them. They seem to believe that through unravelling the mystery of perception and cognition that they do not comprehend, they will regain what was lost to them in The Shattering.

If there is an association of Eldritch Gods, it is not known.

If there are ecological qualities to Eldritch, they are not known.

Like many Strange species, there are seven unique Eldritch Gods.
