The Upper Court of Yesterday is one of the seven active Bright Courts of Arcadia, formed in the middle Dark Age by the magical catastrophe known as The Concordance, c. NIR 1750. It is one of the four active Concordant Courts. It is a fusion two Midnight Courts, specifically The Upper Court and The Court of Yesterday.

The Court is an exploration of the Strange Essences of Location and Time. It is founded on a philosophy of memory. Its twin rulers, The Cartographer Queen and The Hearth King believe that meaning is not undiscovered, it is forgotten and must be remembered. Their obsessions are with histories and stories. The Court is populated by Trolls and Brownies.
