Overview
Darktongue (Enchiridian, Darktongue: Perandoria meaning imperial speech) is named for its association with the corruption of the archdemon Lascivia in Acrolon. It is inspired by Illyrian languages, such as Albanian.
History
Darktongue overtook Imperial as the dominant language of the humans in the early Dark Age, as the language became corrupted by demonic speech of the servants of Lascivia, the archdemon that corrupted the remnants of the Empire of Acrolon. After the fall of Lascivia, Darktongue was forbidden and the commoner language of Dawntongue became the dominant language of the humans of Acrolon.
