The Gilded Court is one of the seven active Bleak Courts of Arcadia, formed in the early Dark Age. It was founded by the Fey God, The Bloated King, c. NIR 1520. It filled the vacancy of Bleak Quality left by the dissolution of The Soft Court. The Court is one of the ten active Midnight Courts.

The Court is an exploration of the Strange Essence of Quality. It is founded on a philosophy of possession. The Bloated King believes that only what you can own has meaning. He is obsessed with wealth and value. The Court is populated by Goblins.
