Overview
Anyot (Nortongue \ænˈjɑt\) was a name with no semantic meaning. Lore about Anyot is rare and incomplete, as little is known about the origins of the Shard Gods. But a few creatures that knew her still exist, such as Servitors, Exarchs, and other Gods.
History
Anyot's origin lies in the cosmic rupture of The Shattering. Like all Shard Gods, she came into being as a fragmented echo of the true, perfect Gilded Age Integrum. She awoke in Grimrskeld, the largest city in Acrolon to have survived The Shattering. With her first gesture, she repaired the entire city, making the great hall of her awakening her first temple, Sanctum of Form.
There was a cult of her Heralds that broke from her teachings, becoming some of the first Apostates in history. They called themselves The Shapers. They violated the natural forms to create their own artificial life. Worse, they summoned and imprisoned Anyot herself to steal some of her divine power. When she freed herself, she punished The Shapers, and all of humanity, for their audacity. She inflicted upon them Anyot's Curse.
Anyot was killed by Skathi during The First Godswar, though Skathi lost an eye in the battle.
Description
Anyot's avatar was a tall, broad-shouldered woman with skin like fired clay and rich, coal colored hair. Her fingers were long and blackened, as if from work in the forge. She wore a thick linen apron stained with ash, blood, milk, and oil. Her voice resonated like a large deep bell. Her only weapon were her hands. Her hands were massive and strong, able to easily crush stone and bend metal.
Personality
Anyot was regarded as very matronly and maternal. She was generous but demanding, wise but judgmental, patient but vengeful.
Abilities
Like all Gods, Anyot had incredible powers. She was superhumanly strong, fast, and tough. Furthermore, as a God of Form, Anyot had additional powers associated with her domains of substance, creation, and natural law.
