This category enumerates the various calendars used to mark time in the historical ages.

All modern calendars are divided into nine months, each month 4 weeks long, each week 10 days long, for a total of a 360 day year. Weeks are also called ten-days.

  • Rainthaw: The first month of the calendar year, this month associated with the Grand Design of Spring. It is marked by frequent, heavy rains. Births are most common in this month, plants and animals crops grow quickly, children have growth spurts, et cetera.
  • Brightness: The second month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the Grand Design of Day. It is also known as "The Long Day", as the sun does not set for the entire month. This month is marked by large scale cooperation among living things. Communities harvest, plan, elect, judge, and govern.
  • Stonehearth: The third month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the Grand Design of Form. It is marked by industry. Tools and machines do not break, processes move efficiently, and societies build.
  • Tessarian: The fourth month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the Grand Design of Pattern. It is marked by surges in learning, understanding, insight, and communication.
  • Firewatch: The fifth month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the Grand Design of Summer. It is marked by frequent and long spells of hot, dry air. Wildfires are more common in this month. People's passions are stoked in this month, and they are often compelled to festivals, dance, passionate affairs, and artistic expression.
  • Dreamrise: The sixth month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the broken Grand Design of Destiny. It is marked by surges in wild dreams, bouts of madness, and an increase in interactions with creatures of Strange. For the entire month, there is a mysterious celestial body in the sky all month, called "The Strange Moon", which the month is sometimes called.
  • Darkness: The seventh month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the Grand Design of Night. It is also known as "The Long Night", as the sun does not rise for the entire month. This month is marked by surges in violence, crime, strife, and conflict. Many societies choose to keep to themselves during this month.
  • Withering: The eighth month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the Grand Design of Autumn. It is marked by an increase in gravity, as souls are pulled more strongly toward the underworld. This is the month that living things age the equivalent of one year. Plants lose their leaves, flowers wilt, sickness and disease are more common, and people are more likely to succumb to death.
  • Stillness: The ninth and last month of the calendar year, this month is associated with the Grand Design of Winter. It is marked by frequent and long spells of freezing air and snowfall. Blizzards are common in this month. People are more prone to bouts of sadness and apathy.
