The Greater Sugar Court is one of the seven active Bright Courts of Arcadia, formed in the middle Dark Age by the magical catastrophe known as The Concordance, c. NIR 1750. It is one of the four active Concordant Courts. It is a fusion two Midnight Courts, specifically The Greater Court and The Sugar Court.

The Court is an exploration of the Strange Essences of Relation and Substance. It is founded on a philosophy of pleasure and delayed gratification. Its twin rulers, The Cake Queen and The Candy King believe that meaning is discovered through sustained euphoria. Their obsessions are with candy and cake. The Court is populated by Shortenings and Gnomes.
