A Champion of Night

This category enumerates members of the Path to Power known as the Champions of Night.

Overview

Champions of Night (Enchiridian) are one of the Paths to Power available to mortals of The Integrum.

Lore about the Champions of Night is plentiful and accurate, offered by scholars, Servitors, and the Gods themselves.

History

Shattered Age

The most famous Champion of Night existed in the Shattered Age. His name was Kveld Myrkrithyr, though he is better known as the God of Night, Excrucius. As a mortal, he was an adversary of the Empire of Acrolon, acting as a traitor to Acrolon in service to the Ning during the Realm War. He was later rewarded for his ruthlessness by ascending to be the Exarch of Anyot, the Shard God of Night. After her death in the First Godswar, Excrucius took her place as the Primarch of Night.

Abilities

Like all Champions, the Champion of Night is able to gain significant power from their Divine Focus. Unlike Heralds, much of the power that Champions receive from their divine investment manifests as martial prowess. They are stronger, faster, and tougher than mortals can normally become.

Their connection to the Domain of Night does still grant them magic power as well, however. This magic can manipulate The Integrum in a variety of ways, but especially by conjuring darkness and instilling fear - both expressions of night.

Cosmology

Like all Champions, the power of Champions of Night comes from Divine Authority over The Integrum.

Traditions and Societies

There are, as yet, no noted traditions or societies of the Champions of Night.
