This category enumerates the seven Bright Courts of Arcadia.
Overview
The Bright Courts (Commontongue) are named for their generally pleasant or positive outlooks and personalities. Though it should be noted that like all Strange creatures, even Bright Court creatures are unpredictable and whimsical. Lore about The Bright Courts is more common and more complete than most Strange lore, because Bright Courts seem especially interested in the affairs of Mortals.
History
The Bright Courts were formed in the early Dark Age, when some Elves of Pelithos migrated across The Strange Sea in search of a refuge from The Endless Night. These Elven pilgrims found and settled the Realm of Arcadia. Over time, they were altered, shedding their Mortal minds, bodies, and souls, becoming creatures of Strange, Arcadians. About half of these Arcadians became The Bright Courts. Some few of these Bright Court Arcadians became Strange Gods known as Bright Gods.
They have meddled in affairs of the universe throughout the Dark Age and Dawn Age.
Governance
The Bright Courts are ruled by a council of Bright Gods and their delegates. They plot and plan how the Bright Courts of Arcadia should function, and against their enemies in the Bleak Courts. The Bright Court rulers meet in The Palace of Delights, which is connected to all of the Bright Realms of Arcadia.
